Cannot get past the AUTO RESPONCE machine! How can you expect to communicate when you don’t offer them options to do so?

Bank teller wishing my brother dead

I went to GTE financial to open a payee account for my brother Josh was the teller that was helping me I explained to Josh that my brother has severe mental and other disabilities Josh in return replied with hopefully your brother will drink himself to death and US taxpayers won't have to pay for him it took me a minute to respond and I divorced some private information about our childhood to explain and then Josh came back with information about a neighbor who's being abused I then had to indulge brother into our childhood with information to explain when the account was set up Josh tried to get me a line of credit I said no thank you I don't have a nine to five job Josh then started grilling me about how I get food I said I grow it how do I grow it without money he kept grilling me for information none of his business a few days later I went back to the bank and dealt with another teller and also spoke to the bank manager all of this the bank manager told me was recorded with the camera and the audios that are in each office area I needed to figure out how to get money to my brother in Ohio and I live in Florida the bank teller suggested that I opened a second account so that I can wire money to a friend and I could send the card to my brother and he could use the card the bank manager overnighted the bank card to my brother a few weeks later I get a call from Carla from the fraud department in Tampa telling me that my brother cannot use my card and that I was trying to convince some kind of fraud I told her all charges on that account I check it daily we're okay by me she gave me 48 hours to let my brother use the card some more I called back and asked them for a few days extension they told me no I should have prepared better if I knew my brother was homeless and the weather in Ohio was going to be 35 I only needed 3 days more and instead of taking responsibility for what they have done they just want to blame it on me and when I told Carla what Josh had said about my brother her response was this is a great training opportunity I am worried sick and deeply concerned and deeply saddened that Josh may get his wish with my brother being in 35

No notice of Town n" Country location closed for remodel

No notice that the town and country closed for remodeling. Temp location doesn't have an outside ATM and the lobby is closed. Very inconvenient. If this was communicated to members it was closed. I could have planned to go during the week.

Website not user friendly

GTE Financial just changed their website to make it extra difficult to pay your car payment with an external account. I do not even have a GTE bank near me.

It just so happens that when I bought my Jeep the dealership was in cahoots with them and gave me a *** *** credit union to deal with for the duration of my auto loan. It shouldn't be that difficult to pay your bill for your car. Why can you not just add your account and start paying your bill like every other website that I deal with.

we have multiple vehicles and I will say that I will never use GTE again. In fact I will be getting a pay off quote and going elsewhere as this is so frustrating every month to deal with.

These people open accounts extra accounts in my name without my consent they never took care of my disputes that were fraud that I had more than enough proof of when I sent it to them they say oh they never received it now they charged off my account and it says I owe $199 in a collection agency but yet theyre saying I owe them $119 I was on this account with my 17-year-old daughter to and now all my transactions on the app have disappeared and my name stays with all my daughters transactions very weird they refused to help me and constantly kept sending me papers for life insurance like it was harassment or something

My injury Compensation was deposited in my savings account on 7/15. I wrote a check to my bank as I always do at USAA for $1200 same day. On the 20th of July gte reversed my check causing me a huge deficit, not covering my bills and also man, many NFS Fees across the board! Now everytime I try to call gte I get a recording stating their having system problems and no one answers the phone. Worst part is I live in a state with no brick and morter to go into. My blood pressure is at stroke level and I still cannot reach them today!!

I received my disability check in savings on 7/15, gte reversed it on 7/20 causing me all kind of NSF FEES, HUGE OVERDRAFTS, AND, AND BLOOD PRESSURE HIGH ENOUGH FOR STROKE! When I try to contact them they send me to a recorded message that says, we're having system problems. I live out of town and cannot walk in.

Finally someone helped me

Went to branch deposited money informed Customer service was using for fuel since they do fraud alert all the time, got to station vehicle on empty tried to fuel up card declined, called Cust service was told gas station placed hold which was not true since this is specific cng fuel and station does not own pumps clld get again this time spoke to young woman who understood I was not in a safe area with a vehicle completely out of fuel she made some inquiries got some information and was able to let charge go thru, by the way there was plenty of money in acct to cover fuel charge she was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful the previous person I spoke to not so much.

Description of Complaint: Loan #48195**** 2/15/2022 Pandemic related loss of income. It feels like GTE does not really care about their clients and keeping a good reputation with its customers. We have been in constant communication with Bernard (GTE) and other reprensenitives to try and keep our vehicle through this tough time. We finally have a way to get caught up by making bi-weekly payments until we are current. Also, we asked if the loan can be written over? GTE don't want to help. I have transferred cash to my money market account from my UBS account several times in the past with no problem. Now they want to hold my money for 3-5 days when I am transferring cash. *** You GTE i'm going to another credit union. I have had enough of the *** with your practices.Go to another credit union

GTE financial is a horrible institution. I was trying to stop five auto bill payments / stop checks that my deceased husband set up. I was unaware that there would be a fee associated with stopping payments that I never even initiated. Nobody verbally told me about the fee. I called and even went into the branch and no one reversed the fees. They had no empathy or compassion. I have been a customer since 1995 and had 7 accounts with them. A good business model would have been to extend a courtesy and reverse the fees. They have forever lost my business.

They are incompetent

I have been a member of GTE Financial for over 20 years. I only stayed with them out of convenience. They have never helped me with any of my financial needs over the years. Now that I decided to close out my account, they have made the process so terrible. I asked them to unlink my checking account from Zelle, but instead they restricted and violated me under Zelle's policies (according to Zelle). I cannot use my telephone number or email address AT ALL because of this. Zelle has confirmed twice it was something GTE did, but GTE is telling me there is nothing they can do. I am so angry. Now I need to get a new phone number just because GTE screwed up and doesn't know how to fix it??? They are completely incompetent!!!
